The Druid or Summoner
I have an idea which may sem a little copycat. MY first idea was for a druid who shapeshifts into the form of creatures like the bear, the raven, the fox, and also into some creatures maybe like a shadow creature(something only seen in GW/GW2). I had this idea for a while but because of the whole norn thing, and the ursan way, this might seem, like i said before, copycat. But, just incase someone likes this idea, ill explain a little more. The druid's skills would be replaced fully by animal type skills. EAch animal would have different capabilities.
Attributes:
FLying creatures: takes the power of flight. A weaker in damage, but faster and dodgier form. the raven, the eagle, and other GW style flying creatures.
Land creatures: takes the power of land. Stronger and slower than flying creatures.Examples; the bear, the fox, the wolf, the turlte(giant turtle not tiny one)
Shadow creatures: THese skills would be only for DR(druid)/? characters.takes the power of creatures that, are powerful in spells, hexes, and enchants. More of a caster taht an attacker, but can enchent itself with certain skills.(not thought out fully, and is open for ideas).
Power of Creature: These skils would not be shapeshifting. THese would be enchantments, spells, and hexes that would give power of animals to allies. THese would increase speed, damage, and attack effects(conditions).
I'm running out of time so ill keep the fruid to that and add some skills later on if people like the idea.
THE SUMMONER
MY next idea was almost like the druid, but does not turn into an animal, it creates animals. THese would be high level creatures, like flesh golems, which would show up in ally slot and would last longer than flesh golems and minions. They would have sets of their own skills and could only be casted one at a time. To take away unfairness, when the summoner casts an animal, all of the summoning skills in the summoner's build would have a long recharge or would instantly recharge when the current creature dies. EAch creature take ALOT of energy and time to cast to also balance the unfairness of having a creature(s) in the party. I won't explain attributes because they would be almost exactly like the druid's but you create a creature instead of becoming one. THe 4th slot is undecided and may be like the druid's.
I did both of these in a hurry so forgive my grammar and spelling errors. I will add on to this later if the idea is liked. If the idea has already been tried please comment nicely.

The Summoner idea sounds cool, stuff like dragons would be cool to summon up. Skill recharges would be in the area of 30-60 seconds, with cast cost of 10 to 25, and cast times of up to 10 or 15 seconds. I think this could probably be put with the elementalist to to make a really awesome spellcaster.
The summoned creatures would be able to cast spells, use skills, and etc. to match the in game monster.
I think that more then one would be fine since Necromancers can have up to 10 minions, so maybe about 5 would be good for summoning.
Example skills:
Summon Wolf: Summoning Spell. 10 energy, 3 sec cast time, 20 sec recharge
You summon a lvl 1...13...18 wolf. Wolfs attack as a group. (can have more then 1 at a time)
Summon Hydra: Elite Summoning Spell. 25 energy, 10 sec cast time, 60 sec recharge
You summon a lvl 8...20...25 Hydra. This Hydra casts "Flare","Meteor",and "Firestorm." When this dies it causes burning to all adjacent creatures for 1...4...5 seconds.

Summoner's are ritualists and Necro's. If all the classes start summoning soon its only gonna eb a Pokébattlefield. Just like in WoW where every classe can make a damn summon, thats a question we can all ask, "hey dude, whats your goon?"
So no more summon.
For the shapeshifter's forget it also, we got the dervishs with their godly avatars forms, and the Norns who can shapeshift in bears.
And dude ur shadow creature, thats the idea of the priest in WoW who can shadow form himself, I dont want my Guildwars to looks like WoW2.

THe reaon i believe that the summoner is distinguished from necros and rits is that they all summon 1 skill monsters that are very simple and basic. The summoner creates highly intelligent allies that have builds. YEt they are not like heros or henchmen. Each one is different, each one has special capabilities.
I did get the beginning of this idea from action Jacson's kineticist, I just felt it needed expanding beyond a set of killer arms.o i give props to him.
Jj: I like those skill ideas. They make sense.

it's not original enough...... you can't make too many professions summon things because then there would be hardly any difference.... and already some of the ritualist binding rituals are simular to the ranger nature rituals... and due to the Asura, we can now summon things that arn't minions or spirits.

Rits summon spirits, I don't consider summoning a spirit army the same as summoning a minion army. The mere fact that for the most part the spirits are stationary (expect for a few teleportation skills) makes a spirit more similiar to a trap. Consider it to be a ranged trap, once planted it stays there, requires the foe to come in range, and can be avoided like a trap.
On the other hand a minion army is mobile, can be manipulated, can tank and be healed to last a lot longer then spirits. I would love to see another class that challenged the necro as a "minion master." It would be a nice change to summon dragons, ravens, bears, wolves, etc. (All with a balance of course).
Anyways, I like the idea, not sure if I agree with everything, but good call.
And it looks like the majority of your ideas came from the Druid class in Diablo II.

I thot about water creatures, but unless there are maps with water everywhere, a water creature would get trapped. If anything it would a be an amphibious creature

What about summoning the gods? Balthazar, Grenth, Dwayna?
They could have their own skills that you could place in their skill bar (Healing Buffs, Attacks) and they could each have an elite skill.

why the heck do you rez this nearly 3 months old thread >.>
summoning the gods rofl, how retarded are you, if i may ask lol ? - even the Dervishs shapeshift only into Wannabe-Avatar Forms of them and you want stupid Druids to be able to summon the Gods oO That nonsense is really worth a lolcat if u ask me.
Imo Anet makes with Norns being GW2's Wannabe-Druids a big lazy mistake.
The Ability to shapeshift into special Animal Creatures should be the one for all playable Profession of any race and not something unique to a single race of the game.
Anet should have given Norns the ability to shapeshift into some new God Avatars of Gods we never heard about yet, which are only Gods for the Norn Tribe and then they could use this concept to reconcept the stupid Dervishs into dancer like Martial Artists or so, what they first were concepted like, before Anet heard on the massive QQ of people, which cried rivers for having imba looking wannabe god shapeshifters and wannabe-angel warrior clones.

You are aware that a god is about as strong as Abbadon, the final boss in NightFall? No, actually they'd be stronger because Abbadon was chained.
Secondly how the heck is that balanced compared to ranger pets? They require an entire bar and a elite devoted to them to be effective.
[Ebon Vanguard assassin support] > ranger pets, even with it's short duration(cuz you can echo/APrecharge it)
Lastly, its ok to necro a tread so you can support it; In case of creating a new thread with your idea would be little or no different from the previous idea.
So assuming that, you add god summoning and you support
